Kerri came to the Scholarly Technology Group in the summer of 2001. Her experience in implementing web projects ranges from flat well-formed XHTML/CSS development to dynamic database-driven sites. Her current technology interests include LAMP development, web accessibility, information architecture, user-interface development, data visualization, information aesthetics, and ninja-level CSS. She has created several web development tools, including the Stylesheet and SSI Generator Tool, and (with Richard Goerwitz) the Htaccess File Tool.

For the five years before coming to STG, Kerri was a member of the Academic Computing group within Brown University's department of Computing and Information Services. She developed and taught classes in web publishing at Brown (both face-to-face and through distance education), authored tutorials and documentation, maintained a document management system using SGML-encoded data, and supported the University's faculty and staff in their web publishing efforts. Her seven years of editorial experience with print publications has lent a unique perspective to the architecture of the web sites she creates.

Kerri has served on the Brown University Diversity Advisory Board; she also sits on the Campus Access Advisory Committee.

Kerri received her B.A. in English from Colby College, where she concentrated in Computer Science and Performing Arts. Three of her plays have been produced in various venues, including two productions at the New City Theater in Seattle. When not typing, she's often creating things from fabric or paper. Or both.
